Keith H. Williamson is Senior Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel for Centene Corporation. An experienced business executive and corporate attorney, Keith joined Centene Corporation as General Counsel in November 2006. Centene (NYSE: CNC) is a rapidly growing, healthcare enterprise headquartered in St. Louis that provides Medicaid-related coverage in ten states as well as other specialty healthcare services nationwide, with revenues of $3.8 billion. He is also on the board of PPL Corporation (NYSE:PPL), a Fortune 350 utility holding company based in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
Prior to Centene, Keith spent 18 years with Pitney Bowes Inc., a leading provider of mailing-related solutions located in Stamford, CT. His roles included global tax planning and later serving as general counsel for the various equipment leasing, mortgage servicing and specialty insurance operations of Pitney Bowes Financial Services. Starting in 1999, Keith tackled P&L roles of increasing scope culminating in responsibility for businesses with over $4 billion in financing assets and roughly $500 million in revenues.
Before joining Pitney Bowes, Keith was an Associate at the law firm of Reavis & McGrath (now Fulbright Jaworski) in New York City. He began his career in Washington, D.C. with the law firm of Covington & Burling. Keith received his B.A. from Brown University, his J.D. and M.B.A. from Harvard University and his LL.M. in taxation from New York University School of Law.
Keith is active with a number of professional, mentoring and social organizations. Since returning to his hometown of St. Louis, Keith has been involved in various civic activities including serving on the boards of the Urban League of St. Louis, the Clayton Chamber of Commerce, KIPP (Knowledge is Power Program)-St. Louis and the Mathew-Dickeys Boys’ & Girls’ Club.
