Mr. Russell F. Watters is considered a leading authority in the arson/fraud litigation area. He has represented clients in hundreds of cases in this specialized area, successfully trying many of them to conclusion. He has more than 100 reported decisions to his credit, many of which were precedent-setting decisions by various state and federal appellate courts in Missouri and Illinois. His practice in the area of first party insurance spans over 20 years.
Watters' depth of experience extends to every phase involved in handling arson/fraud type litigation from investigating scenes to trying cases and managing appeals. His successful track record includes a wide range of fire and fraud cases, many involving over $1,000,000. While representing insurers in some of the largest arson/fraud litigation in the State of Missouri, Watters also has served as a Board Member for the Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyers.
As a result of his expertise in fire and fraud litigation-as well as his experience in first party insurance coverage matters- Watters is retained by the home offices of numerous insurance carriers headquartered across the country and represents companies on both a regional and national basis.
