Judge Dietrich received his B.B.A. degree from the University of Kentucky and his J.D. degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He was elected to his fourth four year term in 2006, having served on the bench since 1-1-95. He serves on the Circuit Court Budget Committee (1997 – present), the Judge Transfer Subcommittee (2007-present), and the Fine Collection Center Committee (2001-present, current chairman), all by Missouri Supreme Court appointment. He is a past president of the Missouri Association of Probate and Associate Circuit Judges (2007-2008). Before taking the bench he was in private practice as a trial and transactional country lawyer in Maryville from 1974-1994. He taught business law at Northwest Missouri State University from 1974-1975.
